We are entering a new era of technology inspired by rising lifestyle expectations
and new healthcare needs.

Working with key strategic partners, Cenamps is driving forward the development and commercialisation of vital healthcare technologies for the deployment of the next generation of bioprocesses, biomarkers, biomaterials and digital technologies to enable personalised healthcare, improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.

European governments share a number of common challenges, one of which is the need to plan for and provide universal healthcare services to citizens. As public healthcare expenditure rises and is projected to rise even further with an ageing EU population, governments are deeply concerned with delivering an efficient and highly reliable healthcare service.

Cenamps recognises that the focus of healthcare will move increasingly out of the hospital and back to clinics, to doctors’ offices, and even into schools, supermarkets, online, the clothes we wear, health centres, workplaces and the home, with healthcare becoming increasingly pervasive. The focus will change away from intervening in the acute phase of the disease towards prevention, early stage detection and treatment.

Advances and integration of emerging technologies, in particular wireless communications, biosensors, lab-on-a-chip, ubiquitous computing, functional materials, genomics and personalised medicine offer a paradigm shift – healthcare services that are mobile, decentralised, responsive, preventative, personalised and highly patient-focused.

The convergence and integration of emerging nano-micro-bio-informatic technologies will in the future enable the development of new capabilities around healthcare services – creating vital opportunities for governments to reshape their healthcare systems.
