Investors
Cenamps works with selected small high-tech firms at an early stage of their development, helping to strengthen their access to skills, expertise, facilities, market intelligence, R&D funds, partners, resources and venture capital and move from 'Inventor ready' to 'Investor ready'. We maintain close ties with them, before and after sourcing venture investment to help optimise their commercial success and economic value.
As an investor you may be interested in learning that:·
- We source venture investment for early-stage high-tech business, specifically for firms innovating novel products with strong consumer and societal drivers and incorporating emerging technologies.
- We are highly selective about the start-ups we help to source venture investment. They are always companies that we have prior experience and knowledge of and most often hands-on insight into their management skills, business plan and technical capabilities
- We work with small regional firms and start-ups to enhance their capacity and capability to innovate new products and grow commercially. This significantly reduces investor risk
- Working with the Newcastle City Technology Office, Cenamps is part of the European Extended Enterprise for Innovation (TEEE-Inn) and EUCIST projects, which aim to reduce the risks incurred in starting up high-tech companies. Through this programme, we help mentor and coach start-up high-tech firms across Europe. Partners include Cambridge University, CERAM - Sophia Antipolis (the European School of Business) and the European Investment fund
- We can champion access to co-investment funds that are available in the region from NStar, a not-for-profit venture capital established as part of the Strategy for Success programme. NStar offers co-investment equity funds that can be blended with private venture funds to help mitigate risk as well as proof of concept funds and focus on early stage high-tech firms
