Many of Cenamps' programmes are specifically funded by One NorthEast with the view to support both small and medium size companies. Successful medium size firms are essential to our region’s economic growth. A recent survey undertaken by PricewaterhouseCoopers on mid-size firms operating in Manufacturing and Telecoms suggests there is evidence that, in general, companies spending more than 10% of turnover on R&D are likely to be significantly more profitable. To strengthen their competitive edge, medium size firms need to invest in continued innovation.
